About Our Hospital

Kindred Hospital South Florida - Fort Lauderdale is a 70-bed, Joint Commission-accredited, Medicare and Medicaid-certified, long-term acute care facility. We provide care for medically complex patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The primary market area is the Broward, Palm Beach, Dade, and Treasure Coast region, although patients are referred from outside the area on occasion. Kindred Hospital South Florida - Fort Lauderdale has two remote facilities: Kindred Hospital South Florida - Coral Gables and Kindred Hospital South Florida - Hollywood.

We work closely with our referring facilities to assure that patients referred to our care are accommodated efficiently and effectively. Medically complex patients are typically referred from intensive care units, medical-surgical units of short-term acute care facilities and nursing homes, as well as physicians’ offices.
